Becoming a registered Foot Health Practitioner is more straight-forward than you might imagine. Simply enrol on the theory course by clicking on one of the links below. Once you have completed this, which typically takes six to twelve weeks, depending on how much time you have, you are ready to begin your practical training.
We believe our programme is the best in the UK because it has been developed in conjunction with a team of people with huge academic and clinical experience. Our clinical adviser is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. We also have experienced Podiatrists and Foot Health Practitioners advising us on what students want and need in their practical training programme.
We have the expertise in training and clinical practice to ensure you leave with the knowledge and skills to commence practice confidently and safely. When you joint us you join the Foot Health Community where you will find ongoing help and support.
PART 1 - FHP THEORY
Your training begins with some theory where you will be able to learn the essential information needed to be a successful Foot Health Practitioner. The theory course is accessed through our e-learning site which is simple to use and can be viewed on a computer, ipad or even your phone.
The theory course will take between six and twelve weeks to complete depending how much time you spend.
PART 2 - FHP PRACTICAL
With your theory certificate in hand you are now ready to start your practical training at our well-equipped centre. Working in small numbers and with the support of experienced tutors you will learn the skills necessary to work as a safe Foot Health Practitioner providing basic foot care.
The training is arranged with one of our approved centres. You have ten days additional clinical days.
By training with us you will be gaining a nationally recognised qualification through an accredited course offered via the NCFE.
The NCFE is a national awarding organisation, offering over 500 qualifications at different levels and in a wide range of subject areas. NCFE recognise the skills, knowledge and understanding achieved by a learner at a particular level and in a particular subject.
Once qualified you can apply to the register of FHP's.
